T and I spent NYE weekend in Cedar City with his parents. It was so great to see them and spend a few relaxing days in their beautiful home. I always love going to Cedar City and seeing what the small town has to offer. My favorite store in the town is Bulloch Drug. It is a pharmacy, gift shop, antique shop, candy counter, soda fountain, all in one. It is very small town and really fun to look through. I love to look through all of their fun antiques and little gifts. They have so many adorable owl things and I just swoon over all of them.
I do not consider myself crafty. At all. I'd much rather bake cookies. My mother-in-law knows this about me and is slowing teaching me some crafty skills that will help me in the long run. I love her for that. She taught me how to cross stitch last year and over the weekend she taught me how to knit a basic scarf! I was so proud of myself. I couldn't believe how easy it was once I got the hang of the stitch. YouTube has some great videos for beginners if any of you want to take on the challenge. If I can do it, you can definitely do it. Here is the first stage of the scarf and the last stage of the scarf. I actually ended up using much bigger needles than the one in the first picture. I went from size 11 needles to size 19. But it ended up great! If I do say so myself...
While I was knitting, Todd built some amazing shelves for our apartment. Pictures to come!
