When I was in high school, my mom and I used to drive into San Francisco every Christmas season to go shopping and have dinner at the Cheesecake Factory. It was my favorite time of the season. Union Square in San Fran has the best shopping in a 4 block radius. It is the best and so much fun.
For Christmas this year I asked my mom if we could go to dinner and shopping in Salt Lake City or something. She suggested we go to San Fran...and of course I said, YES! We have wanted to go back for years but we never had until now.
We stayed at the Hyatt right in Union Square and were there for about 40 hours total. We were able to squeeze in Starbucks, China Town, Nordstrom, Anthropologie, GAP, J Crew, PINK, H+M, Boudin's Bakery, Crate and Barrel, all 400 floors of Macy's, and the Cheesecake Factory.

The next day we drove out to Alamo/Danville, drove around our old neighborhood, had brunch, and went to the Alamo 1st Ward. It was the fastest and most perfect shopping Christmas trip I could have asked for. My mom rocks.
